Standardization upgrade for coffee line valves, What else ?

In the production process of soluble coffee, the coffee beans are placed in “percolators” (16 bar @ 200°C) after having been torrefied and ground.

Once the coffee is brewed and collected, the coffee grounds are removed from the “percolators” by a pressurized steam injection and then directed to a hopper where they are pressed to extract any remaining juice. Diverters or multi-ways valves are situated underneath the “percolators” … Read more

One of the fundamental constraints of individual valves is tightness.
For every kind of valve, two main types of tightness must be considered :

  • the Process/Atmosphere process tightness assures the seal between the fluid region and the valve exterior, preventing leakage into the atmosphere.
  • the In-Line tightness assures the seal between the upstream and downstream of the valve, preventing leakage when the valve is closed.
